DB Maintenance Plan ?

What steps must be taken to ensure that during every
backup the transaction log does not build up? What must
be checked on the Transaction Log tab under the DB
maintaenance plan?
Thanks in advanceChris,
What I do is check the box that says "Remove files older
than:" and put 1 day in the box next to it. Also, I have
it back up the transaction logs every 2 hours so they
don't get huge. Every night we do a backup of the
machine, so I can restore from tape and then backup the
database to any point in time.
Hope this helps.

size of your tran log file(s), you can increase the
frequency of the log backups. It's not uncommon to backup
the tran log once every 15 minutes.
